Meshullam, born in Albany, NY, was a few months old when his parents decided to make Aliyah. As such, his roots were firmly planted in the Holy Land. Years later, Meshullam moved to Brooklyn, NY with his wife Esther Dassy and recently have chosen beautiful Cooper City, Florida, as their new home.
Meshullam has a beautiful voice and it is a true pleasure to listen to him lead the prayers. Services are assured to be truly enjoyable and inspirational as Chazzan Meshullam will integrate traditional High Holiday melodies with many of the most popular contemporary Jewish tunes.
After years of leading High Holiday Services at one of the most prominent synagogues in Monsey, NY, we are excited to have Meshullam join our amazing program as chazzan at the beautiful JW Turnberry.
The sweet melodic voice of Rabbi Pinny’s dear father, celebrated cantor Rabbi Yerachmiel Andrusier, will undoubtedly inspire and delight all in attendance. His heart- felt melodies is sure to leave one and all with an unforgettable, truly enjoyable and most meaningful High Holiday experience.
A wonderful group of talented voices will be on hand to harmonize the Chazzan and add to the festive energy during the holiday meals.
Mezamrim is renowned to flawlessly recreate the most intricate melodies of time-honored classics, made famous by the likes of Avraham Fried, Mordechai Ben David, Suki and Ding Productions, Lipa Shmeltzer, Yaakov Shwekey and other Jewish music giants.
High Holidays at the JW will once again feature a Sefardic Minyan led by Rabbi Amram Amselem
Rabbi Amselem was born in Tangier, Morocco in 1942 and is the Spiritual Leader of Congregation Judea of Miami. He lectures in many languages including Hebrew, Spanish and French.
Rabbi Amselem's maternal great-grandfather, Rabbi Rafael Eljarrat, was the chief Rabbi of the city, Larache in Morocco.
Born in Tangier, Morocco, into a family of Rabbis and Chazanim; Hazzan Daniel Bengio grew up in Madrid, Spain, where his father (a Chazan and renowned Paytan) integrated him into the Tefilot from the age of 6.
Daniel attended Yeshiva in London, England, where he further honed his Chazanut knowledge. He arrived in the US at the age of 18 to attend Yeshiva University. While there he served as Chazan on Yamim Noraim at the Moroccan Jewish Organization in Forest Hills, Queens.
Hazzan Bengio once served as Chazan for Shavuot at the Touro synagogue in Rhode Island (the oldest Shul in the US).
Daniel moved to Hollywood, FL almost 30 years ago and served several times as Hazzan for Rabbi Amselem’s Shul. For the last 20+ years he has been part of the pool of Chazanim at Young Israel of Hwd, for both the Ashkenazi and Sephardic Minyanim.
